We have listed a number of cocktails for you to drink after Christmas dinner.

Cocktails after Christmas dinner

The cherry dinner is often a very filling dinner. You may eat several courses and stuff yourself completely. Yummy! So if you want to drink a cocktail after Christmas dinner, it is a good idea not to drink a cocktail that is too heavy. That is why we have listed a number of fresh cocktails for you that are not too heavy on the stomach.

Sparkling gin lemon

A perfect, fresh cocktail for after Christmas dinner is a sparkling gin lemon. The lemon in this drink and the Spa red make this drink nice and fresh and that is exactly what you want after such a heavy Christmas dinner.

This is what you need for 6 people:

  • 3 lemons
  • 150ml gin
  • 3 tbsp syrup (doesn’t matter what flavor)
  • Ice cubes
  • Spa red

All you have to do is put the lemon zest through a sieve into a measuring cup, add the gin and syrup and pour it into 6 large glasses. Then fill the glasses with ice cubes and to finish, divide Spa red over the glasses. Enjoy it!

Limoncello blush

This cocktail not only has a super fun name, but it also tastes super delicious. Once again, this cocktail is very easy to make and perfect to drink after Christmas dinner.

This is what you need for 8 people:

  • 1 lemon
  • 12 ice cubes or crushed ice
  • 100 ml limoncello
  • 100ml vodka
  • 100 ml sprite
  • 500 ml apple cranberry juice

You can peel the zest of a lemon with a lemon peeler. Divide the ice among the glasses. Pour the cold limoncello and vodka into the glasses. I put the Sprite and apple cranberry juice in a jug and also pour it into the glasses. Garnish it with the lemon peels and your cocktail is ready to drink!

Gin tonic with spices and mandarin

Finally, we have a real winter cocktail for you, namely a gin and tonic with spices and mandarin. When you smell this cocktail, you get a real Christmas feeling.

This is what you need for 4 people:

  • 1 tangerine
  • 1 tsp allspice grains
  • 2 tsp cardamom pods
  • 6 cinnamon sticks
  • 200ml gin
  • 20 ice cubes
  • 600 ml tonic

For this winter cocktail, start by cleaning the tangerine and peeling it with a peeler. Do not peel the white part because it is bitter. Then you put this peel together with the allspice, cardamom and 1/3 of the cinnamon sticks in the bottle. Add the gin and store it in a dark place for about 48 hours, shaking it after 24 hours. Then pour the gin mixture through a sieve and cut the mandarin into pieces. Then divide the ice cubes, gin and mandarin pieces among the glasses and also add the tonic. Finally, garnish the drink with a slice of mandarin. Enjoy!
