The tastiest and easiest protein-rich snacks

Are you also a huge sports fanatic, but are you also busy with your studies, work or other priorities, so you don’t have much time to focus on your nutrition? In this list you can find a number of snacks for between meals, which will help you reach your protein goal more easily.

The tastiest protein-rich snacks

1. Rice waffle with peanut butter, honey and banana

It not only sounds good, it is also delicious. This protein-rich snack is very small and easy, and also high in protein.

  • Rice waffles
  • Peanut butter
  • Banana
  • Honey

Which rice cakes you choose depends very much on your personal goal. Be sure to choose the most protein-rich type. Spread a thick layer of peanut butter on this and cut the banana into small pieces. You can pour some honey over the rice waffle for extra flavor.

2. Poke bowl

You can think very broadly about this meal, because you can add many different products to it. Protein is mainly found in meat, fish and dairy products. A good example of a filling, protein-rich poke bowl is one with salmon.

Supplies:

  • Honey
  • 300 grams of salmon
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 avocado
  • 250 grams of sticky white rice
  • Plate or bowl

Boil the rice and when it is cooked, place it as a thick base at the bottom of the bowl. Prepare the salmon with the marinade you like and then place it somewhere in the bowl. You can add sesame seeds to this for extra flavor. Cut the cucumber, avocado and carrot into pieces and place them in your bowl as well. You can expand this much further and you can add dressings, but this is a simple basic. It also very much depends on your goal.

3. Protein-rich bread with cottage cheese, fruit and topping of your choice

This protein-rich snack is really tasty and super easy. You can get protein-rich bread at almost any supermarket, these are usually bake-off rolls. These sandwiches are already very filling, but that doesn’t stop you from making them even tastier.

Supplies :

  • Protein-rich sandwiches
  • Fruit of your choice
  • Cottage cheese
  • Toppins (such as honey, avocado nuts)

Put the protein-rich rolls in the oven. While these rolls are in the oven, you can start cutting your fruit. You can make your own choice, such as kiwi, banana, strawberry or blueberries. Cut these into small pieces so that they fit on the sandwich. You can of course just eat the leftovers separately. Remove the rolls from the oven and top them with the cottage cheese. It is best to make a thick layer of this. Place your fruit pieces on top and add your toppings.

4. Overnight oats

This is a really simple but tasty hack. The word says it all, overnight. You are supposed to make this protein-rich snack in the evening, because it needs to be in the refrigerator for about eight hours.

Supplies:

  • Oatmeal
  • Semi-skimmed milk
  • Liquid honey
  • Ground cinnamon
  • Fruit of your choice
  • Jam jar

Make sure the jam jar is clean and divide the oatmeal, honey, milk and cinnamon over the jam jar. Stir this well. Put the lid on and wait until the next morning. Make sure there is at least 8 hours between the preparation time and when you eat it. Before you eat it, you can add fruit to the top to make it extra tasty.

5. Bagel

Bagels are super tasty anyway, but how nice if they also help with your protein goal? Combine your own healthy bagel. Get bagels at the supermarket, or make them yourself. You can top the bagel with egg, chicken fillet, fruit, cottage cheese and so on. Anyway, super tasty and high in protein!

6. Protein powder and cottage cheese

Basic but the easiest. You can get different types of protein powder everywhere. There are dozens of flavors, colors, smells and structures. Usually you mix this with milk or water and it is ready to eat or drink. Protein powder can be used anywhere, including your cottage cheese. These are extra proteins, because cottage cheese already contains a lot of protein. So take a nice cup of protein powder and a bowl of cottage cheese with you, and you are already well on your way.
