Last Saturday, Count Caspar Matuschka and Countess Leonie von Waldburg-Zeil-Hohenems tied the knot. Because King Willem-Alexander is the blushing bride’s godfather, he also attended the wedding. And to complete the celebration, his wife Queen Máxima and eldest daughter Amalia also appeared at his side.

Last Saturday, the fairytale wedding of Count Caspar Matuschka and Countess Leonie von Waldburg-Zeil-Hohenems took place in the picturesque Hohenems, a town in Austria. The bride, Countess Leonie, is a great-great-great-granddaughter of the Austrian Empress Elisabeth, better known as Sisi. And a wedding like this is of course not complete without a whole host of important guests.
A number of prominent members of the Dutch royal family also appeared. Our own Princess Amalia traveled to Austria – together with her parents King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima – to personally congratulate the newly married couple. Most likely, they were present at the wedding because our king is the godfather of the bride.

Outfits
Princess Amalia appeared for this festive occasion in a beautiful blue dress that she has never worn before. She wore a matching headband in the same blue color that her sister Princess Ariane wore on King’s Day in Rotterdam in 2023.
Queen Máxima opted for a striking red dress from fashion house Natan, which she previously wore during the last day of the state visit to Belgium last year. She completed her stylish look with an elegant hat from designer Fabienne Delvigne. The queen looked like a piece of cake again, but hey, we’ve come to expect nothing less from her!
