Nice! Christmas film of the hit series Dertigers is dedicated to the late actor Reiky de Valk

Unfortunately for the fans of Dertigers, the hit series has stopped, but they are not falling into a black hole yet. During the Christmas holidays, the special Dertigers Christmas film will be broadcast on TV! And to make the film even more beautiful, it is dedicated to the late Dertigers actor Reiky de Valk. The film concludes the series and therefore promises to be emotional. Grab the tissues!

Christmas film from the hit series Dertigers

Fans of the hit series Thirtysomethings can celebrate Christmas this year with their favorite group of friends. During Christmas, the actors of Dertigers, including Lykele Muus (Bart), Leonoor Koster (Lot), Wieger Windhorst (Pieter) and Eva Laurenssen (Saar), end up in a kind of fairy tale. The film is set in the winter landscape of Lapland. Months ago, the group of friends planned a Christmas trip to Lapland, but the road there is full of struggles. The group of friends is in danger of falling apart. No one says anything in the app group anymore, Bart and Pieter don’t work well together, Nora is heavily pregnant and Lot is drawn deeper and deeper into Boas’ group of friends. Oh oh! Also, no one shows up at Saar’s farewell drink and Elias and Alex have completely different expectations of the reunion in Lapland. The big question arises: will the Christmas trip to Lapland bring the friends together again?

Deceased Reiky de Valk

So when you see the storyline, you expect a lot of emotional scenes. According to actor Jelle de Jong, who plays Elias, the Dertigers Christmas film may have the same status as the Dutch Christmas classic Alles is Liefde. That sounds promising! “It has become moving and very funny, even for people who have not followed the series,” Jelle tells the AD. “What’s special: just as many big and intense things happen during one film as in a normal season of 24 episodes.”

According to Jelle, the film is dedicated to the late actor Reiky de Valk, who died at the age of 23. “It is extremely sad, but also extremely private,” says Jelle. “We have agreed that we will say almost nothing about this, only that we have dedicated the film to Reiky and that this feels good to us.” Reiky played the role of Thomas in Dertigers. In the series, Thomas was dating Hannah, the daughter of Bart and Lot. Due to the age difference, he sometimes had disagreements with his parents, especially Bart.

When to see?

There is a good chance that the Christmas film will be just as successful as the episodes of Dertigers. That success may be partly because the cast are now just as good friends as in the film. “We spent six months staring at each other’s faces for four years,” says Justus van Dillen, who plays Elias’ friend Alex. “I went to the pub with one of the cameramen last weekend, so those friendships are really good.”

As mentioned, the Dertigers Christmas film will be on TV during the Christmas holidays. The Christmas film can be seen on NPO3 at 10 p.m. on December 25, 2023. If you don’t have patience, you can now stream the Christmas film on NPO Start. Below you can watch the trailer of the Dertigers Christmas film:
