Intense: Mark Gillis fights for his life in intensive care

Mark Gillis, the son of Massa is Kassa-Peter Gillis, is currently fighting hard for his life in intensive care. Peter himself confirmed this news to Shownieuws, after RTL Boulevard already reported on it.

Mark in artificial coma

Suddenly everything went downhill very quickly for Mark. In the night of Friday 28 June to Saturday 29 June he was admitted to the emergency room in critical condition. The doctors immediately started all kinds of tests to find out what was going on. Unfortunately, Mark only got sicker and in the night of Saturday to Sunday he even had to be put in an artificial coma and put on a ventilator. Intense! This was necessary to give his body rest and to ensure that the antibiotics could do their job.

Severe pneumonia

What turns out? Mark is suffering from a very serious pneumonia. Peter tells Shownieuws: “At the moment Mark is still fighting for his life. He is being well cared for in the hospital. The Gillis family would like to rest and focus on Mark’s recovery.”

Dutch Oostappen holiday parks

Earlier it was announced that Peter Gillis is stepping down as boss of Dutch Oostappen holiday parks, as he shared via Instagram. According to Peter, his organization is being transferred to a new operator, while Peter will continue to manage the Belgian parks under a new label.

Painful decision for Peter Gillis

The SBS6 star’s decision came after several problems with permits at multiple parks, including the loss of catering permits and the failure to obtain operating permits. “It is a painful decision, but it is with a heavy heart that I hand over the operation of the Dutch parks,” Peter wrote. Despite the change, the parks will continue to operate under the same name.

‘Employees can continue to work’

“It is important that the employees can continue to work and guests can continue to enjoy an affordable holiday,” emphasized Peter, known for his reality show Massa is Kassa. Gillis’ parks were previously in the news because of housing migrant workers against the rules and a failed Bibob test. As a result, one of his parks, Prinsenmeer, had to close.

Possible new permit

Peter’s park, which is located in Ommel, has a long-running conflict with the municipality of Asten due to alleged violations of regulations, including permanent residence. The municipality has indicated that the permits will be reassessed with a new owner.
