There is plenty to do again!
Nothing fun planned for the weekend yet? No problem! Glamial once again recommends the best outings, culinary hotspots and shopping tips to give your weekend a glamorous edge. Enjoy it!
Royal porcelain
This Saturday, the exhibition Porcelain Fever: the white gold of Augustus the Strong and Madame de Pompadour opens in the Leeuwarden Ceramics Museum Princessehof. Various porcelain works of art from the eighteenth century are exhibited under this name, from the period when all of Europe was possessed by ‘a highly contagious porcelain fever’.

The stories of Augustus the Strong (Saxon Elector and King of Poland) and Madame de Pompadour (mistress of Louis XV and court influencer) are central. The exhibition takes you past all kinds of showpieces, such as an original Medici bottle from the sixteenth century, to life-size porcelain animals and meter-high vases.
Extra fun: on the occasion of the opening, admission is free this Saturday! You can reserve your ticket here free of charge.
Exhibition: Women in Art
Not enough art and culture yet? This weekend a new exhibition will open, focusing on female artists: Women in Art. For this second edition of the special event, 24 illustrators and photographers have been selected, whose works can be admired in De Hallen Studios in Amsterdam. With this exhibition, the organizers want to draw attention to gender equality in the art sector. How cool is that?

The exhibition itself is freely accessible. In addition, various workshops, tours and lectures will be given on March 2 and 3 and on March 8 and 9, for which you can book a place here.

As the name suggests, these two palettes have a particularly fine silky creamy texture. Intensely pigmented, easy to use, super easy to blend and layer – we are fans!
You can now shop both the brown and gray Creamy Obsessions palettes at Ici Paris XL for €32 each.
Viewing tips
We conclude the list with a number of viewing tips. Fortunately, there are more than enough fun films and series to stream this weekend. For example, we can now watch the new blood-curdling documentary De Gijzeling in the Apple Store on Videoland, which focuses on the 2022 hostage crisis in Amsterdam. Would you prefer something light-hearted? Love Island Games has also recently been shown on Videoland. In addition, from this week you will find the brand new documentary about Jennifer Lopez, The Greatest Love Story Never Told, on Prime Video. The film Silver Linings Playbook can also be seen on Netflix from tomorrow, starring Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper.
In short: more than enough fun to fill your weekend!
