Frank Zander (81) probably has to cut back a bit. Last week, the “I drink to your health, Marie” interpreter was taken by ambulance to the Berlin Charité because of elevated inflammation levels. He has now been released and is on the road to recovery. However, he still has to forego one thing for health reasons: Frank Zander is still too weak for his Christmas party for the homeless!
“We had to pay attention to the doctors’ advice, because health comes first,” his son now tells the German Press Agency. The cult singer didn’t make the decision easy for himself. But: “He’s just too weak on his feet.” However, the event does not have to fall through. His son and grandson take over the management of the charitable dinner: “It is and remains a family celebration with all the heart.”
As soon as Frank is fit again, he will probably have plenty of time for his charitable work. The musician announced the end of his career last summer. He revealed that he wanted to concentrate on his exhibitions and helping the homeless: “I want to be there for them as long as my strength allows.”
