In the first part of the third season of Bridgerton, we finally get to see how the friendship of Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) turns into a love story. But how old is Penelope actually?
In season one her character was 17 years old, in season two she was 18 years old, so we assume Penelope is now 19 years old. Fun fact: season three is based on the fourth book by star Julia Quinn and in it Penelope would be 28 years old. In real life Nicola is 37 years old. Something that many viewers responded with surprise, since the actress looks a lot younger.
Secret youthful glow
During the premiere of Bridgerton in New York, a reporter from E! News Nicola about her radiant face. The actress was then immediately asked what her skincare routine is. Nicola responded enthusiastically that she is a big fan of the Tatcha brand. “Right now it’s Tatcha. They are doing very well. I love it.”
“And drink a lot of water and get a lot of sleep. And growing up without sunlight,” Nicola – who grew up in West Ireland – added jokingly.

In an Instagram Story, Nicola previously shared that she tries to drink two liters of water a day. “Water is very good for your skin,” she urged her followers. She also said that she is a big fan of Lush products. She shared that she loves using the brand’s Eau Roma Water Toner – which starts at just €9.50! She also advised to always apply moisturizer to your neck and throat.
The actress also said that she owes her glow to her genes. “My mother looks very young. That’s the main reason why I look so young.”
