Was he not hot enough? Taylor Lautner (31) became famous for his portrayal of the werewolf Jacob Black in the Twilight saga. For this role he stood in front of the camera alongside Kristen Stewart (33) and Robert Pattinson (37) and was an integral part of the cast in all of the four films. But this almost wouldn’t have been the case – Taylor would have died after the first part of “Twilight” almost been replaced!
In the “Good Guys Podcast” the actor reveals that the reason was an incredible physical transformation of the character Jacob. “I got a call: ‘There’s bad news, the studio is going to recast you in the second film,'” says the 31-year-old, adding: “I kind of saw it coming, but what the studio didn’t know was that I had started training nine months before the call.” The production was then very surprised by his muscular body, so he was allowed to continue appearing as Jacob in the hit films.
Already spoke before Taylor about his body and the pressure his appearance puts on him. His self-confidence even suffered from the expectations of the fans. They claimed that he had let himself go after his role in “Twilight”. “I thought, ‘Do I really have this?’ “I didn’t think I looked that bad,” the Hollywood star noted.
