Guilty?
You know how it is: you started a new Netflix series and you can’t stop. You are glued to your screen until the early hours and even while working you may not be able to resist looking further…
Guilty
Research by Toluna, commissioned by Netflix, shows that one-fifth of Netflix users watch programs from the streaming service at work. The survey was conducted among more than 4,000 respondents. However, we must add a comment. The research took place before corona. We suspect that working from home has caused this number to be even higher.
46 percent of respondents also indicated that they would like to use Netflix’s offering in public. In addition, 26 percent confirmed that they do this on the train, compared to 16 percent of bus travelers.
Shameful
However, 11 percent of respondents indicated that they have turned off a film or series in public. Why you ask? Because Netflix users were embarrassed by certain scenes playing on their screens. In particular, scenes involving drug use were considered the most inappropriate. This means you have to cross some threshold to watch that one film or series on the road or at work. And let’s be honest: some things are just not safe for work.
