Her name? Sinkie!
Another extension of the family for Harry and Meghan! The two welcomed chicken Sinkie into their chicken coop last week. And that’s not just any chicken: Sinkie previously lived with a very famous TV star…
Royal chicken
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex adopted Sinkie from none other than… Ellen DeGeneres! Last weekend she shared a snapshot of the chicken on Instagram with the caption: “Sinkie’s leg has healed again, but the other chickens still pecked her, so she had to move. Fortunately, our friends Harry and Meghan still had room in their chicken coop. Don’t know yet what her royal title will be.”

A while afterwards, Ellen shared some more images of Sinkie, who has now completely settled in with Harry and Meghan in Montecito! Fortunately, the chicken has recovered from her broken fibula.
Interesting detail: at the end of the video we hear Meghan quickly say “Hi” in the background. Cute!

True animal lovers
Of course, we already knew that Meghan and Harry are big animal lovers. The couple not only have chickens, but also a number of dogs. A while ago they adopted a beagle named Mamma Mia. The seven-year-old dog was originally rescued from a pitifully poor American dog farm. And that was not the first time that Meghan was committed to animal welfare: she also rescued their other two dogs, Guy and Pula, from the shelter.
