It’s been six years now! Frankie Grande, Ariana Grande’s brother (30), was going through a tough time a few years ago. The 40-year-old fell victim to his persistent alcohol and drug consumption. In 2017, when an attack happened at his sister’s concert in Manchester, he had reached rock bottom – the thought of not being able to help his family in his addictive state made everything worse and contact with those closest to him became increasingly unstable. But he worked on himself: thanks to his sobriety, Frankie is now enjoying a good family relationship again!
It is the “biggest blessing” in his life that after all the low points during his addiction phase, he has now managed to be sober for many years and therefore has a better family relationship than ever. During an appearance on “Today with Hoda & Jenna,” Frankie said, “I’m once again the first person called when my sister has a question or my mom needs help with something.” That wasn’t the case for years.
In the interview, Frankie notes that he used to be able to go to work at the “peak” of his drug use without his colleagues noticing anything. “People didn’t say, ‘Oh, you need to get help,'” he remembers. On the one hand that was great, but on the other hand it was also “a curse” because no one made him aware that he really needed help.
