And the Liverpool coach’s team was actually able to successfully prevail against Newcastle United. He happily ran across the green and congratulated his players. But the celebration of the victory came to an abrupt end: Jürgen lost his wedding ring on the field!
However, the shock was quickly followed by a happy ending. A resourceful cameraman saw the ring lying on the lawn and returned it to its rightful owner. “I had a huge shock. But he’s back,” said Jürgen happily on Sky Sports and described the finder as a “friend for life”. When the simple silver piece of jewelry was firmly on his finger again, the new grandfather crowned the moment with a kiss on his ring finger.
This kind of shock was actually not the first time that the Champions League winner had suffered. Jürgen continued: “I lost him once in my life – I needed a professional diver because it was in the sea.” As soon as he loses a kilogram or two, the ring will probably be dangerously loose.
