Derek Hough (38) and Hayley Erbert have had difficult weeks. The professional dancer’s wife had a cranial hematoma caused by a burst blood vessel! That’s why she had to have multiple head operations, most recently just last week. The American survived the procedures well and is currently on the mend. That’s what it is for Derek very grateful – his wife’s recovery is his biggest and most important Christmas present.
The 38-year-old shares some emotional lines with his community on Instagram. “I wish everyone a Merry Christmas! We cherish the greatest gift of all: the precious gift of life and the love we share.” Post about it Derek a sweet photo showing him and his wife in front of their Christmas tree. In deep gratitude for the improvement in his loved ones’ health, the TV dancer writes in conclusion: “Take your loved ones in your arms and appreciate every moment.”
Before Hayley There is still a longer path to healing. Derek and they are very confident and positive. “We are full of hope and optimism for the future, knowing that she is on the road to a full recovery,” he wrote online shortly after the latest operation.
