Frank Buschmann (59) has to pull the emergency brake before the end of the year. The TV commentator is a familiar voice for many football fans. Over the course of his career he has commented on many exciting football games such as the German El Clásico FC Bayern Munich against Borussia Dortmund. The Bottrop native also regularly presents NFL broadcasts. But that’s over for now: Buschi is doing too badly!
In his podcast “Eavesdropping” he confesses Frank now that he has to take a step back professionally. He also has to cancel commentating on the Super Bowl on February 11th – there is no other way. “Because I’m actually completely at my limit and have to admit to myself that I’ve really been consumed by the last three or four months of this working year – for many reasons,” explains the 59-year-old. He feels “all, broken and tired.”
Frank I decided against broadcasting the Super Bowl with a heavy heart. Not only did he have too much to do with other projects in January and February, but the climate in the Nevada desert was simply too much for him. It is still unclear who will comment on the sports spectacle instead.
