Kaj Gorgels and his girlfriend Jessie Jazz Vuijk have made a tough decision: they will no longer show their son Xavier’s face on social media. As much as they want to show off their mini-me, they want him to be able to decide later whether he wants to be on the internet or not.
Kaj Gorgels’ pride is real
Kaj shares the big news flash with his followers on Instagram. The photo is an adorable shot of Xavier from behind while Kaj holds him on a beach bed. In his caption he writes: “Now I have become ‘that father’ that used to make me so tired when I didn’t have children yet. You constantly want to talk about your child and you show photos and videos without asking.” It is clear: Kaj is very proud of his little one. “I have never been more proud of anything in my life than I am of my child,” he adds. But the choice has been made: Xavier’s face will remain off the grid from now on. “He can later decide whether he wants to use those social media apps, but his parents do not have to decide that.”
First birthday = new rules
Last week Xavier celebrated his first birthday and this was the perfect time for Kaj and Jazz to decide that they wanted to give their son a little more privacy. Kaj says: “No longer with his head in the picture. (…) How quickly that time flies.” And yes, we completely understand that, those little ones really grow like crazy!

Kaj Gorgels is very happy with Jessie
In the Geuze & Gorgels podcast, Kaj recently told his bestie and co-host Monica Geuze that he is very happy with Jessie. “In the end, I think that in Jess I have someone who suits me 100 percent. Especially compared to what I used to fall for,” he said. Kaj then explained that he used to, like many others, mainly look at external characteristics first. “Then there comes a next phase and then other things become important. Then you grow out of that puberty.”
Grown together
Gorgels believes that Jessie suits him perfectly because they have grown together. “I love that person,” he shared. He also realizes that growing old with your great love is the highest goal in life. “That is the first time since Xavier that I really see that in front of me. That I think: well, that is really a dream.”
