You’ve probably heard about manifestation. It is a way to achieve your goals and make dreams come true through thoughts and intentions. This may sound a bit vague, but there are many people online who believe in it. How does that actually happen?
The science behind manifestation
If you think that manifesting is nothing more than asking the universe to make your dreams come true, then yes, it sounds like a waste of your time. You can ask the universe anything, but the chance that it will respond is very small, or even non-existent. Yet manifesting is very effective for many people. This is because by manifesting you deal with your goals in a different way. You spend a lot of time thinking about your intentions and your goals. This changes your mindset. You tell yourself that it will work and this makes you really believe in it. This basically tells your brain that something is going to happen and so you make it a priority.
Suppose you are doing research for your studies. You have to interview people but you can’t find anyone who will take the time to sit down with you. You are manifesting that this research will have a high result and so you are constantly working on it in your mind. Achieving this goal is a priority. Suddenly you hear someone talking about your research topic in a coffee shop. It turns out to be someone you could interview and you decide to approach them. This probably feels like the universe sent that person your way at just the right time. This is certainly a nice thought, but in the end it was you who picked up the topic of conversation and decided to approach the person. You picked this up through your manifestation. You are constantly working on it, so you notice things more.
Should everyone manifest?
Manifesting isn’t necessarily something that works for everyone. If you read this and thought it was fluffy and nonsensical, it will never work. For manifestation to be effective, you also have to believe in it a bit. Can you do this? Then it is definitely worth a try. It is never wrong to set yourself goals and be determined to achieve them.
