For the opening of the new building of the National Ballet Academy (NBA), Máxima pulled out a beautiful dress this morning. The NBA is an international training program in the field of classical academic dance.
After a search of more than ten years, the NBA has found a new home on Nicolaas Tetterodestraat in Amsterdam Overamstel. As a result, all pupils and students are brought together in one building. The building has seven large studios, one of which can serve as a theater hall.
The NBA is part of the Academy for Theater and Dance, which is part of the Amsterdam University of the Arts. It is the only dance training in the Netherlands that is directly affiliated with the National Ballet. An important part of the NBA is an extensive preparatory training of seven years where young students from the age of ten combine their ballet training with their primary and secondary education. The school currently has 165 students.

Máxima’s dress made of green Shantung silk comes from Natan’s studio. You can immediately see this in the decorative folds, which have characterized the designs of the Belgian fashion house for years.
The dress debuted in 2017 during the opening of an exhibition.
