Chantal Janzen can sing, present, act and also turns out to be a very good television producer. The drama series One Big Family was Chantal’s idea and even turned out to be the most watched Videoland drama series of 2023. That of course also meant: a new season. And that is now starting to take shape!
A big family
In case you missed it, the drama series One Big Family is about Julia (Chantal Janzen) who moves in with her two daughters and son with new boyfriend Taco (Lykele Muus) and his two daughters and son. Finding a new balance together as a family produces many comical, moving and difficult moments.
Chantal got the inspiration for her new series from her own blended family, which she says she has been ‘very proud of for seventeen years now’.
Great success
Did you watch One Big Family in one sitting last year? You’re not the only one. Videoland announced last November that One Big Family is the most watched Videoland drama series of 2023. Wow! A second season was of course inevitable, and it will happen! That new season is now starting to take shape, because Chantal shares a photo of the script on Instagram. “A big family. Season 2, Episode 1,” it reads. “OH YES,” the actress writes.

Second season
Chantal cannot believe her luck that the series will be Videoland’s most watched drama series in 2023 and will have a second season. “We are very proud and happy that One Big Family has been so well received,” she told RTL Boulevard last year.
“We have received an incredible number of wonderful reactions from the start, with recognizability in particular. Coming up with a series has always been a dream, but that it is the most watched series of the year so far on Videoland? No, I really wouldn’t have dared to think that. The fact that we can make a second season with this great creative team is really fantastic.”
