The princess’s infamous uncle does not make himself popular.
Since the big revelation last Monday that Princess Kate’s uncle, Gary Goldsmith, is indeed participating in Celebrity Big Brother, the best man has already caused quite a stir. And he is not thanked for that!

In case you missed it: a new season of Celebrity Big Brother started this week in jolly old England. Stars of varying fame and notoriety allow themselves to be locked up for weeks and filmed 24/7 in accordance with the well-known formula.
A number of different types are participating in this 23rd season, including a Strictly Come Dancing professional and an influencer, but also showbiz veterans such as Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh. And well, also Gary Goldsmith. This man’s only claim to fame is the fact that he is the uncle of the Princess of Wales, who has built up a bad boy status over the years – think cocaine deals, domestic violence, and a series of four marriages.

He himself did not seem to care about his shadowy image. For example, he shared in his introductory video: “I often read that people think I’m a bit of a bad boy. I wish I could deny these rumors, but annoying people is my biggest hobby.”
In the episode that aired last night, the businessman suddenly had a different story. Sharon questioned him about the reason behind his participation. He then shared: “I don’t care what the public thinks of me – ‘the black sheep of the family’ – but I’m just an ordinary guy. Coincidentally, my niece married Wills.”
Elimination
He then claimed that he doesn’t want to be a celebrity himself. However, the ever-decisive Sharon Osbourne was not convinced. “Why don’t I believe you when you say that?” she shot back.
Ultimately, the conversation with la Osbourne leads to Gary being the first candidate nominated for elimination. Later this week it will become clear whether the Princess of Wales’ infamous uncle will indeed have to leave the Big Brother house.
