Book a summer holiday in the high season
Would you like to go on holiday in the high season (i.e. actually in the summer months)? Then it is a good idea to book your trip early. It is best to do this about six months in advance. In January, February or March it is best to select and book your summer holiday in June, July and/or August.
With an eye to the actions of travel organizations: they often announce their travel offers in the first three months of the year. It is therefore good to know in advance where you want to go and what accommodation you would like during your trip. In January you even have an early booking discount!
Book a summer holiday in the low season
Of course you can also go on a wonderful summer holiday even though it is not in the high season. If you choose this, it is best to book your trip last minute – this is the cheapest for you. This is because large travel organizations reserve a certain number of airline tickets and hotel rooms. As the departure date approaches, prices will of course drop, because otherwise no one might want to book. You can take advantage of this, especially during low-season holidays.
What if you want to travel in a group?
For the adventurers among us who would like to take a great trip with a group, it actually makes little difference when in the year you book. These prices hardly change. Unless of course you just come across a great offer. Be careful with last-minute bookings for a group trip that you like, because the group/trip may be full!
