Big brother
In November 2022, Marieke gave birth to her first child. She then had a son, named Jip. Maternity leave
About a month ago, Marieke started her maternity leave. In front of the camera of RTL Boulevard, she said that she was going to relax for the coming period. “I was ready to take it a bit easier,” she says. According to Marieke, she had been more confused lately while presenting the Qmusic morning show Mattie & Marieke. “I really felt like I had to give 130 percent and even then I felt like I was only getting 80 percent out. I do find it strange that I’m going to be away for a while. Leave is good, but I don’t like being away from Mattie and the entire team.” Early July it was announced that Miljuschka Witzenhausen would replace Marieke during her leave.
