Now that there will be no more new episodes of The Crown, fortunately there is another series to turn our attention to. Bridgerton is coming with a new season, and Netflix is already sharing the first images!
New season
The third season focuses on the love story of Lady Whistledown herself. Thus, Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) will finally find their way to each other. The third season of Bridgerton seems to pick up exactly where the second ended. After Penelope hears Colin’s comments about her, she gives up her long-unrequited feelings for him. Smart Featherington thinks it’s time she focuses her energy on finding a husband. One that leaves her free enough so that she doesn’t have to kiss her secret identity as Lady Whistledown goodbye.
Storyline
Penelope is not very good at flirting, and has no idea how to smoothly approach her search for a man. And Colin, who realizes that Penelope is not giving him the attention he previously received, is disappointed. They were such good friends before, right? He therefore decides to offer his help. He will help his dear friend to find a good husband. But when Penelope actually receives attention from potential suitors, Colin notices that it gnaws at him. Does he like Penelope as a girlfriend? Or do his feelings go further than that? The recipe for a wonderful friends-turn-lovers plot.
Release date
It is now finally known when the new season will be released. Netflix has announced that season three will be split into two four-episode parts, with part 1 premiering on May 16 and part 2 releasing a month later on June 13. Ooh! And, as if that wasn’t enough, the streaming service also shared the first images of the new episodes.
