We strive for an extensive collection of high-quality flooring materials, from various types of wood to innovative tile options. But what is really crucial for us is that we don’t just sell floors. We guide our customers through the entire process, from the moment of selection to installation. We take the time to ensure that the chosen floor perfectly matches their wishes and needs.”

Which floors can customers find at Solza?

“At Solza we do not limit ourselves to just laminate floors; Our range includes a variety of flooring materials. In addition to laminate, we offer PVC floors in both adhesive and click variants, parquet floors, hybrid wooden floors and ceramic tiles. This means we have something for everyone.” Jorik van der Heide emphasizes that Solza applies strict criteria for the brands in our range. Only A-brands are selected, paying careful attention to the quality of the floors and the service suppliers provide.

What should you pay attention to when choosing a new floor?

“Selecting a new floor is a significant decision that involves several aspects. Initially, it is vital to evaluate the lifestyle and use of the space. For example, the needs of a family with children differ from those of someone setting up a home office. Crucial considerations are durability, resistance to wear and ease of maintenance. The style and aesthetics of the floor also play an important role; this must fit seamlessly with the interior. Quality is central here; a floor should not only be visually attractive, but also have a long lifespan. And of course, finding a balance between quality and costs is an essential factor in making the final decision.”

What are the current trends in the world of flooring?

“We see a growing trend among people looking for alternatives to the traditional herringbone floor. One notable option that is generating increasing interest is whalebone PVC, as offered by brands such as Vivafloors. Also known as ‘whalebone’, this floor style is very similar to the herringbone pattern, but on a larger scale. The planks are laid in a similar pattern to herringbone, although they are usually wider and longer. This results in a pattern that looks more spacious and less busy than traditional herringbone floors. The whalebone PVC from brands such as Vivafloors offers a contemporary and spacious look, while still retaining the classic charm of the herringbone pattern. In addition to whalebone PVC, other floor patterns, such as Hungarian point floors, are also gaining popularity. However, this does not mean that herringbone PVC floors, including those from brands such as Vivafloors, have lost their appeal and popularity. On the contrary, they still remain a popular option.”
