Ah!
On TV, celebrities often seem to have a rather average height, but we know better by now… What about the royals? Is our Queen Máxima really as tall as we think, or do her high heels only give us that illusion?
Maxima
Although our queen would love to appear in a good pair of heels, it turns out she certainly doesn’t need them. Máxima is no less than 178 centimeters tall, and is therefore no less than the average man. Fun fact: the average Dutch woman is about 170 centimeters tall. Our queen – even with her Argentinian roots – stands head and shoulders above the rest!
Kate
Kate doesn’t quite reach the supermodel height of our Max, but at 175 centimeters she certainly isn’t far behind. No big surprise, but still nice to know that the Princess of Wales is really as tall as we thought.
Diana
The late Lady Di also fit perfectly into the royal family with her height. Like Kate, she was 1.75 meters, a height that the princesses share with king to be Charles. With large stiletto heels on, Diana towered quite a bit above her husband! And believe it or not, but Queen Camilla’s height is also 175 centimeters – could that have something to do with the unwanted love triangle that Diana had with Charles and Camilla?
William
At 191 centimetres, Prince William is almost the crown among European royal families. A perfect height for Kate, who can walk next to her husband in twelve centimetre high heels without towering over him. Is that why she chose him?
Harry
William’s younger brother is slightly shorter at 186 centimeters, but hey – Harry is still more than respectable height to be a prince, we think.
Meghan
She’s no princess, but we’ll include Meghan in the list anyway. Meghan isn’t what you’d call petite, but at 168 centimeters she’d have to pull out a serious pair of stilettos to reach Kate’s height – if she wanted to, of course.
Amalia
How tall the Crown Princess is exactly, is still unknown. But when we look at recent pictures of the Oranjes, we see that Amalia is not only still ahead of her sisters, but has also now overtaken mother Máx. And that is quite a milestone!
