First public appearance for newborn royal baby

The newborn Luxembourg baby appeared at the Olympic Games.

A royal first at the Olympic Games! Although she is only 2.5 months old, Victoire, the youngest member of the Grand Ducal family of Luxembourg, was allowed to attend the grand event. The youngest granddaughter of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa was spotted in Paris this weekend, together with her parents.

Olympics

She has only just seen the light of day, but little Victoire is already allowed to go on trips with her parents. The first daughter of Princess Alexandra and Nicolas Bagory went to the Olympic Games – safely under a blanket – as can be seen from photos shared by the Cour Grand-Ducale.

The Luxembourg royals share various snapshots of their time in Paris on Instagram. Just swipe through to the fourth photo, and we indeed catch a first glimpse of the young royal! Or at least, that’s what we assume. In the photo we see Alexandra sitting in the audience with a baby carrier on her stomach. And although it is covered, it can’t be anything other than Victoire hiding underneath.

The statement accompanying the photos reads: “The Grand Ducal Family visited the Olympic Village this Sunday, where they met Luxembourg athletes and had the opportunity to gain their first impressions of the Games. Their Royal Highnesses also visited the various facilities where athletes can prepare and recover. During the Olympic and Paralympic Games, almost 24,000 athletes pass through here. During this relaxed and pleasant visit, our athletes were once again encouraged by the Grand Ducal Family.”

Victory of Luxembourg

For Victoire, Paris must be a special city. Not only did she experience the Olympic Games here, it is also the place where she was born on 14 May this year, as the first daughter of Princess Alexandra of Luxembourg and her Nicolas. Her birth was announced at the time with a message from the court: “The Grand Duke and Grand Duchess have the great pleasure to announce the birth of their granddaughter Victoire, the first child of their daughter Alexandra and son-in-law Nicolas, born this Tuesday, 14 May, in Paris.”

Victoire is the eighth grandchild of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg. With Charles, François, Amalia, Liam, Balthazar, Gabriel and Noah, the little royal has plenty of nieces and nephews to entertain himself with! And since Amalia and Liam are also in Paris according to the pictures, that should be just fine.
