An outfit to die for!
With her striking jackets and quirky outfits, Sarah knows how to Ferguson surprise us regularly. Sometimes successfully… and sometimes less so. But last night the Duchess of York appeared in a look that left us speechless (in a positive way). Fergie, who is your new stylist?!
Old Hollywood Glam on the carpet
Although it may seem out of reach for many, prestigious red carpet events are a regular occurrence for Sarah Ferguson. Last night, another glamorous gathering was on the agenda, as Cannes hosted the Knights Of Charity Gala.
The dress code for the evening? ‘Grace Kelly and Cary Grant’. And if anyone knew how to stick to that dress code perfectly, it was Sarah. She showed up in a tight-fitting black dress with a matching white cape that reached the floor in the back. She finished the look with glamorous Hollywood-esque gloves. Gorgeous!
The experts at Royal Fashion Police on Instagram tell us that it is the Kalika Monochrome Long Dress by the brand Safiyaa. If you see that dress and think: ‘I have to have that too’, you can! For a modest €1685 the dress is yours.
Knights of Charity
The Knights of Charity Gala took place at the Chateau de la Croix des Gardes in Cannes, on the French Riviera. And, it is quite a prestigious affair: a look at the website quickly makes clear that a seat at the table costs €20,000 per person. It is therefore not surprising that only members of high society are present at this charity gala: in addition to Fergie, we spotted Orlando Bloom, Sharon Stone and Andrea Bocelli among all the guests.
Sarah’s diagnosis
Based on the radiant photos, we can at least conclude that Sarah is feeling good about herself. And that’s good, because the Duchess of York has not had an easy time. After her breast cancer diagnosis in June last year, she was hit hard again at the beginning of this year. The Duchess was diagnosed with skin cancer. A mole that she had removed turned out to be a malignant melanoma. Earlier this year, Sarah shared that she is in the best hands and that she has managed to stay positive thanks to the support of her family.
Last month, fortunately, there was good news about her prospects: although Sarah cannot yet say she is ‘cancer-free’ according to doctors, they are optimistic. Although she still needs regular check-ups, immunotherapy, medication or chemotherapy are no longer necessary. What a relief!
