Ah!
We take good care of our hairstyles. Yet it sometimes happens that our locks feel greasy seemingly out of nowhere. Do you ever discover after getting up that you have developed a greasy haircut during your beauty sleep? This is where that comes from and how to prevent it!
Radiant locks
You get out of bed on the right foot, put on the stylish outfit you laid out the day before, but when you look in the mirror, you notice that your locks have apparently collected a fair amount of oiliness in one night. The fastest solution? A quick coupe bun! Although a messy bun is now completely hip, the line between chic messy and unkempt sloppy is sometimes very thin. Moreover, we do not want to appear on the scene with a smooth bun as standard – it is not without reason that we spend good money on salon visits and expensive care products. We want to shine with our locks!
To dry
We would rather prevent greasy hair than hide it. What seems? Many women experience that washing their hair in the evening leaves their hair greasy in the morning. According to experts, sleeping with wet hair may not be optimal for your locks, but it doesn’t mean it will automatically become greasy. What they believe is often the case is that we do not give our hair the time to dry properly. Because the roots are not yet dry enough, it causes us to wake up in the morning with greasy hair.
Shampoo
So it is not the shampoo you use and leaving the conditioner on has no influence on it. Do you want to get up in the morning with beautiful hair, but you don’t feel like having to do everything so early in the morning? So make sure your hair is thoroughly dried in the evening before you get into bed.
Less is more
In addition, of course, all kinds of other things can also influence your hair and scalp. From hormone fluctuations to the weather – you simply don’t always have control over it.
What you can take into account is the health of your scalp. And you can maintain this by not washing your hair too often. As expert Claudia Zocco explains to Marie Claire: “A healthy scalp naturally produces the perfect amount of sebum, a fatty substance that is essential for protecting the scalp. Shampoo cleanses the hair and scalp, but also removes natural sebum. By cleaning intensively, you activate sebum production and your hair becomes greasy.”
In short: don’t shower too often and let your locks dry thoroughly before getting into bed. This way you can also look good with a silky soft hairstyle.
