Gover Meit, formerly known as Stefano Keizers, is not happy with the media at all. After the Eurovision Song Contest debacle in which Joost Klein was disqualified, Gover does not aim his arrows at the EBU or the Eurovision Song Contest employees, but at the media who, according to him, are the main culprits in this story.
Uncomfortable Interview with RTL Boulevard
In an interview with RTL Boulevard along the red carpet, Gover Meit attacks the program with remarkable statements. “Like everyone else, it was a difficult period for me. I must also say, we were so terribly stalked and harassed. Especially by RTL Boulevard, but also by the entire media.”
Press hid everywhere
According to Gover, the press had hidden everywhere to get a glimpse of Joost and his crew. “We just have to recover from all the violence for a while. And also from the panic that journalists have caused us. Because yes, there were people in my private sphere constantly filming me and looking for me in the bushes.” Gover is relieved that the whole adventure is over. “That’s just not a pleasant life. So I’m going to take it easy again for a moment, if you don’t mind.”
RTL Boulevard doesn’t understand it
Aran Bade, whom Gover portrays as ‘the main stalker’ of RTL Boulevard, is surprised at what Gover is saying. “I’m really looking at this with amazement,” he says after seeing the interview with Gover. “Because we were really afraid that something was really going on with Gover Meit. We never saw him again after that incident, actually. He wasn’t even on stage.” According to Aran, it was almost impossible to speak to Joost and his crew, because they always seemed to be playing hide and seek with the media.
Gover Meit provoked it himself
Daphne Bunskoek from RTL Boulevard also does not understand Gover’s complaints. In the program she says the following: “Normally everything he does is a bit of a performance act. If there is no media involved, then it is nothing.” Aran believes that Gover caused the media storm himself by blowing everything up as if it were a “moon landing”. Boulevard expert Eric de Munck also calls it naive. “It’s the Eurovision Song Contest. It’s not some kind of fair you go to.”
Multiple studies?
Gover also hinted at “multiple investigations”, while as far as we know there is only one criminal investigation underway in Sweden. Aran says: “I don’t know any better at the moment that there is one investigation underway. But that would also mean that another investigation would have been started.” Anyway, it’s still Gover Meit, so Aran takes what he says with a grain of salt.
