In the legal series Suits, Wendell Pierce played the father of Duchess Meghan (42). Prince Harry’s wife (39) had played the role of helpful paralegal Rachel Zane for around seven years. But even after the American’s exit from the series, the two never lost sight of each other – unlike the American’s biological father, the entrepreneur always has her back. But what lasts? Wendell from the never-ending criticism of Meghan?
“The thing is, I know she has Harry, right? And of course the beautiful children. That’s the most important thing,” the 60-year-old told Page Six. The negative headlines don’t interest Wendell: “Well, all the other stuff […] means nothing.” In the “Treme” actor, Meghan seems to have found a true friend: “I just reached out and reminded them that I am their friend, no matter where in the world they are. I love her.”
Before marrying the prince, Wendell even warned his TV daughter about the consequences: “I remember the last moment with her… When I told her that her life would be completely different, but that in times like this you have to remember that “You have to remember that there are a lot of people who care about you,” he told the talk show Good Morning Britain.
