Glennis Grace
Glenda Batta, better known as Dutch singer Glennis Grace, started her singing career in the nineties. She made her first album in 1995, which was not very successful. In 2003 she released her second album, which was expected to gain more fame through well-known international names. Unfortunately, this album also worked against expectations and flopped. It was not until 2011, after several attempts, that her career got a boost. Since then she has been seen as a Dutch celebrity (BN’er) and has made several friends within the industry.
Gordon Heuckeroth
Cornelis Willem Heuckeroth, alias Gordon, is a singer, writer, presenter and entrepreneur. He was part of De Toppers from 2005 to 2011, and he has also appeared in the TV programs Idols, X Factor, Holland’s Got Talent and Hotter Than My Daughter. His former friendship with Gerard Joling also yielded a lot of viewing figures, including ‘Geer & Goor: Zoek een hobby!’, ‘Geer & Goor: Effe geen cent te makken’ and ‘Geer & Goor: waarheen, waar?’ His contract with Talpa expired at the end of 2023, which he did not renew. This may have ended his showbiz career, but he remains well-known within the Dutch show business. He has also made many contacts and friends within this world.
Friendship and love advice
That the two celebrities are good friends may come as a surprise to some. However, things work out very well between the two. Glennis: ‘When he was really down last year, he also called me in the middle of the night. And then I was there for him. We never had an argument.’ Glennis Grace tells the weekly magazine Story that Gordon Heuckeroth gave her good advice. But what kind of advice is this? ‘That stays between us. But this is unconditional friendship. I will always be there for him. Whatever happens.’ Goor also gives her love advice sometimes, says Glennis: ‘But I have to laugh heartily about that. ‘Listen who’s talking!’ I shout at him. One of the best love advices I’ve given myself is to stay single for the time being.’ The two both have an outspoken character, which can sometimes clash, but it always works out: ‘And when we met again after a week, we had to laugh heartily about it. Maybe that’s also because we both come from Amsterdam. We understand each other like no other.’
