“I want to be courted,” the businesswoman reveals.
As a former Real Housewive of Amsterdam and successful businesswoman, Hella Huizinga has nothing to complain about. And although the program gives a glimpse into the lives of the wealthy ladies, the home tour in the new Glamial really comes close. We talk to her about her life as a businesswoman, love and reality TV in her beautiful apartment in The Valley on the Amsterdam Zuidas.
Home tour
As expected, there is no shortage of luxury in the residential towers where Hella has settled. “The building is an architectural work of art,” Hella begins her story. “The reception is manned 24 hours a day. Handy for your package or if you have forgotten your key. There is also 24-hour security and the building is equipped with all conveniences. There are five restaurants, a sandwich shop, a coffee shop and a gym with a swimming pool and sauna.” That is certainly not bad!
The Real Housewives of Amsterdam
Most people probably know Hella from the reality show The Real Housewives of Amsterdam, but the lady is much more than just a reality star. As a successful businesswoman, she made her appearance in the series. Despite the fact that she enjoyed her participation, she decided to quit last year. “It is quite time-consuming, such a reality series”, says Hella.
“Not only the recordings, three to four days a week, but also everything around it. In the make-up, choosing clothes, giving interviews. Reality TV takes a lot of time. And I don’t have that time, because I also have a serious business.” Although Hella stands behind her decision to leave the program, she looks back on The Real Housewives with great pleasure and she will miss working with her good friend Maria Tailor.
Love
When her relationship ended, Hella saw her chance and set her sights on a home in The Valley. She has been happily there for quite some time now. Although Hella made no secret of the fact that she regrets not having a family on The Real Housewives, the busy woman has no time for dating. She will be away from home for the next six weeks and will be flying around the world for work, and such a busy schedule is no exception.
“Girlfriends are pushing me to go on the international dating app Raya. Apparently there are a lot of nice, successful and enterprising men on it, both Dutch and foreign. But I don’t like all those apps at all, I’m a bit old-fashioned. I don’t want to meet at a restaurant at half past seven, but to be picked up at home. I really want to be courted,” Hella confesses. So to change this businesswoman’s mind, you have to be from a good home!
