On the last day of her visit to the Philippines, Máxima wears a dress that has been in her closet for nine years. Still, I wouldn’t be surprised if you’re not familiar with the garment yet.
Máxima is visiting the Republic of the Philippines as the United Nations Secretary General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development (UNSGSA). The visit is about promoting financial inclusion and the theme of financial health.

For the last day of her visit, Máxima took a deep dive into her walk-in closet. There she came across a dress that debuted in 2015. Because there were few photographers present at the time, the dress remained unknown to the general public. But now, nine years later, the garment – completely unexpectedly for me – has been given a second chance. Who knows, maybe the designer will now come to light, because unfortunately that was not possible in 2015.
