Eating vegetables is good for all of us! But sometimes eating enough of it is easier said than done. Do you want to consume more vegetables? This is an easy way to do it.

Focus on one meal at a time

If you want to change your diet, it’s easy to look at the whole picture. But if you want to add something, it is better to focus on one meal at a time. For example, while making your breakfast, think about which veggies you could add to this specific meal. Think of adding veggies to an omelet. Do the same for your lunch and dinner, this way adding vegetables becomes a habit and you don’t lose the overview.

Blend them into your morning smoothie

This may sound gross, but you can easily incorporate some vegetables into your smoothie. Think of spinach or cauliflower. These veggies have a mild taste and will therefore not stand out at all in your smoothie.

Make a small side salad with your dinner

Vegetables should always be part of your dinner. But if you’d like to eat more of it, it’s not a bad idea to make a small side salad for your dinner. Think of some lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber and other veggies that you like. This is not too filling and is a tasty addition to your meal.

Experiment with vegetables that you don’t know very well yet

If you want to eat more vegetables, it’s a good idea to try some new things. There are probably a few types of veggies that you have little experience with or that you don’t even know at all. This is the perfect time to start eating these more often. You might discover a new favorite.

Blend them in a pasta sauce

Pasta sauces are an ideal place to hide some extra vegetables. For example, think of peppers, carrots or celery. These veggies can make your pasta sauce not only more nutritious, but also tastier. This is also ideal if you have children who need to eat more veggies. What you don’t know doesn’t hurt, right?

Eat them as a snack

Carrots, cucumber, peppers, they are all super tasty snacks to eat during the day. Dip them in a little hummus or another dip and you have an ideal snack to take to the office, school or just enjoy at home on the couch.
